About

BCE Ltd was founded in 2000 by Thomas, after being on the tools for 17 years.

An opportunity arose to carry out one contract which seemed too good an opportunity to pass up. This contract was carried out by Thomas and one employee on time and on budget, which then led to another etc and the rest as they say is history.

Since these humble beginnings BCE Ltd has steadily grown to now employing 20 full time staff, many who have been with the company over 20 years.

The vast majority of our contracts have been repeat business so there has never been the requirement for advertising, social media etc. However, the others on the Management Team have persuaded Thomas to join the 21st century and hence this website.

We now carry out a large variety of both private and commercial contracts and would be very happy to talk to you about yours.

Our Management Team

Thomas McGee – Managing Director

BCE’s founder, dedicated to the vision of completing the contract on time and on budget, ensuring happy customers, lots of recommendations and invitations to tender for new contracts.

Steven McLay – Contracts Manager

Steven joined BCE in 2018 bringing with him a wealth of Civil Engineering experience. He manages all jobs, from pre-start to completion, co-ordinating workforce, materials, and everything that is essential, to ensure the smooth running of every BCE job.

Susan Dowling – Office Manager

Susan is the backbone of our business, joining Thomas in 2011, she is the font of all BCE knowledge. Working closely with Thomas and Steven on every job, quotes to invoice, she manages it all.

Janie McGee – Director

Janie joined BCE in July 2024 after a long career in Electronics, to support BCE’s plans for the future and generally supporting across a number of different areas as and when needed.
